CAPA offers numerous support services including: Counseling, Doula Mentor Project, Childbirth Education/Preparation Classes, Support Groups, “Bringing Up Baby” Parenting Education, Infant Massage, Clothing Bank, Emergency Diapers, the annual Birthmother’s Luncheon, and referrals as needed.

Free Diapers For Babies

The Free Diapers-For-Babies program is designed to address the skin care and health concerns of poor new mothers and their babies who lives in any cities and towns within the United States.


The greatest concern for parents is to keep their baby’s skin dry, healthy and free from diaper rash.  Many things can cause diaper rash.  Prolonged wetness, lack of air circulation, soap, chemical and dye allergies, ammonia formed by bacteria that interacts with urine left sitting against the skin and the growth of microbes in the diaper area can all be irritating and cause rashes.

The best way to prevent diaper rash is to change diapers, cloth or disposable, frequently.  And Diapers cost lots of money to keep your baby dry, and with poor parents struggling to makes ends meet, babies dryness need suffers.

That is why we came up with the Free-Diapers-For-Babies program to address this need and we plan to donate disposable diapers to 2,000 Babies each year.

I am a 23 year old stay at home Mother with 4 Sons. I hate to reach out, but I know my husband and I won't have the money after paying the bills. Between food and clothes and medical bills for my youngest's heart surgery there just isn't enough for diapers. Please, if anyone is able to help us out this one time we will be so greatfully appreciated. My Son wears size 4 diapers.

I really need someone to help me pay my phone bill. I have 7 kids 5 of which live at home (14,13,12,21m,9m). My husband was workin 2 jobs and I was workin 1 but was playin catch up with other bill and got way behind on the bill owin(591) this is our only way to communicate with the schools and with my husbands work and it what my husband uses at his work. It gonna get shut off tonight. I was prayin something would happen and I guess I don't save it I will have to wait till I can try and get it paid.
But my kids and there sport take a lot ot the money right now and now my 14 year old has to have surgery from in injurey
I really am hopin and praying someone can help me with this.

i'm a single mother of one. my son is only 16 months old. we moved to north carolina from pennsylvania and know no one. i came here to try and start a better life for us.

i have no help with day care and i just lost my job. my car reicently quit working and i couldn't pay my insurance. my son is almost out of diapers. i have no money to buy him clothes for the winter.

no transportation to get a job or daycare. or any ways to get a job.

i don't know what to do. if my car was running i'd move back to my family. i'm 550 miles away from any help.

i'm so alone down here and have no idea how to get out of this whole.

hi my name is tarah and i am the mother of a beautiful 3 month old baby girl. up until yesterday everything was going great. i lost my job of 7 years and now have no income what so ever. my rent is 600.00 and am going to need formula and diapers very soon. i am checking into a few things right now to get help but any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. i do not have acces to the internet all the time but you can reach me at 513-508-7758.

My husband and I were just making it with his old job.  Money was tight, but we were making it.  Then he got let go out of nowhere.  We have an 8 month old baby to support.  It seems that everything has been crashing down on us, but I praise Jesus for what we do have.  I've gone through all the necessary measures to get food stamps, WIC, and insurance.  Our vehicle that is needed no ifs-ands-or-buts for my husband to get to his new job (that pays 30% less than he was making before- and it's not on the busline) just had a brake line snap.  Even though we have auto repair assistance here in Kenosha it only covers a percentage and I have no idea where we're going to find it.  I'm the organizer, stay-at-home mom of our family.  I've applied for a million different jobs to no avail.  My husband got a grant to go back to school so he's going to be doing full-time work and full-time school in hopes of getting us out of this situation so I will be managing the home and taking care of our son.  We've already sold anything of value- even put my wedding ring on Craigslist to try to make ends meet, but no one was biting.  I've learned how to make my own laundry soap, dishwasher powder, fabric softener to cut down costs (http://hilbillyhousewife.com  the site is amazing, highly recommend it).  If we need clothes, it's Goodwill which is fine by me.  Please do not judge us, but we made a lot of poor financial decisions when we first got together and were just about to file bankruptcy when my husband lost his job.  We have a judgement on us that will be taking money out of my hubby's check and WE DON'T HAVE IT.  I don't know how I'm going to get our son diapers.  It's me doing all this legwork (and y'all know how it can get- phone call after phone call, appt. after appt., hunting down tons of paperwork) and I am SO THANKFUL for what our country does have set up, but right now it feels like we're stuck.  God is good and he will provide- I know it, but I have no idea where to get diapers and things like that for this interim.

Hi there, my name is Stephanie. My husband and I are young parents who are trying to provide for our two children, one is 15 months old and the other one will be born the 4th of June. As of right now, we live with his parents and are trying to make the alloted rent (0 a week) with my husband working what he can out of jobs from craiglist. While he does that, he is applying to try and find a steady job. Our biggest concern at this point in time is trying to find something to pay rent with for the next couple of weeks because if we can't make it, we have to leave and have nowhere else to go. We also have to worry about the birth of our baby girl happening right smack in the middle of that. As of this moment, we have a little bag of baby clothes, a bassinet and size 3 diapers. I would love to know if anyone out there has any resources I could contact as far as baby things go, or if you yourself have clothes, diapers, or things your children no longer use that we could pick up to use on our new baby. We also would love for some contact information on who else might be hiring around the West End area, as my husband keeps putting in applications but keeps getting told that they're not actively hiring.

I am an unemplyed married man with 2 children 1 of which is a special needs child that is 1 yr old. I have a beautiful 2 yr old daughter and my wife is 5 months pregnant with our 3rd child. I have been looking for a job, but the market here is kind of bleak. This pregnancy is very high risk for my wife. A man should be able to support his own family and I feel like a failure for not being able to do so. Things are bad to say the least. I cannot even afford to keep my children in diapers. We are currently living with my mother-in-law and anyone who has been in that situation knows that things are never good. My children are not even allowed to play with their toys when they want to and we have been told on more than one occasion that we are just ruining and disrupting her life and that we need to get out. It is by the grace of God alone that we are still here with a roof over our heads. Please find it in your hearts to help a Family in need. I hate even having to ask but I have no where else to turn. The community resources around here are at a loss and told me to suck it up. Please Help.

I AN MARRIED WITH FOUR KIDS 3 GIRLS AND 1 BOY WHO IS 9MONTHS OLD, I GO TO SCHOOL FULL TIME TRYING TO GET A DEGREE TO TAKE CARE O FMY KIDS. MY HUSBAND LOST HIS JOB BECAUSE OF SOME CRAZY MESS ANDNOW ME AND MY KIDS ARE SUFFERING FROM IT. IT IS ALMOST CHRISTMAS AND NO MONEY AND THANKSGIVING IS DAYS AWAY AND I HAVE NO MONEY TO PAY MY WATER BILL AND I CAN'T COOK FOR MY KIDS. I HAVE NO WAY OF GETTING BACK AND FORWARD TO SCHOOL NOW THAT MY MOTHER CAR HAS BEEN REPOSED AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I NEED HELP AND SHE DO TO.

Please if anyone can help me. I just had a baby 18 days ago and I received my last paycheck from my job. We have run out of money to pay the bills for the month of September and October.  I also have no money to pay for milk or diapers.
